Discover How To Grow Your Online Business By Using eBay To Almost Cheat Your Way To Online Profits
I have been selling on eBay since 2003. What I can tell you is that this is a difficult market, First you need to source a product that will sell well enough and that will make a good enough profit, You will not sell 50 items a day on eBay for $50 dollars profit each, the market is really saturated with cheap selling items, even sellers selling laptops and TV's etc. sometimes only make 5-$10 profit, but this does not mean you will not make money, many other do.
Do not get bogged down trying to find a product that will make you a load of money. But what you also have to take into account is that selling something for 50 cent profit is not really worth the time, you might sell 100 of these items, but that 100 items might take you 12 hours work of listings, posting items, replying to emails, settling disputes, contacting sellers, missing post etc. You really need to make at least a few dollars on each item otherwise you would be better of getting a minimum wage job in which you will earn a lot more.
At the start I spent a lot of time reading people experiences on forums, I was constantly looking for that one product that would make me a fortune. Well let me tell you about that one product that you are looking for, there a few million others like you looking for that one product as well.
What I am trying to say is yes do your research and look for a good product and when you do find it, do not stop looking for new suppliers or better deals or better or more products to sell, but do not spend all day looking on the net. As believe me 3 month can fly by and you will still be in the same position you are in now. Take action now.
When you do source a product make sure you check up online about the company check forums for people who have deal with them already. To sell in an already competitive market that eBay is, you need to stand out a bit from the other 90-95% sellers who produce the same listings same graphics and the same sales pitches. You have to look professional. As if you will not win on price on eBay you will always find that there is always someone cheaper than you.
First thing after you find your product, is to spy on other sellers, are they selling? If they are what is their feedback like? Is it good? If so take a note of their listing how do they sale the product, then open up a word document or grab a pen and paper and get writing. If you are selling teapots you do not have to look at teapot sellers, you could look at successful laptop sellers. Just reword the listing so that it relates to your products and that it is not plagiarism.
Then make sure you use good quality pictures. This is very important; if you cannot get any online off your product then take some yourself. The last bit is very important and it will mean you investing some money, but if you have researched your product properly and it is a good enough seller then you will make your money back in time.
Get a professional looking template made up, there are lots of people online who will do this for you, just do a search on Google for eBay templates. You may have to spend $200 for a good one, but believe me if you are serious about selling online, this will help you a lot in the long run.
Good luck!
