This article is created for those people who are familiar with EBay.

• A place to buy items online in an auction format

• A place to sell items in an auction format online

I am making $100+ per day in profit from eBay and spending less than a couple of hour per day. Basically the idea is:

You will be bidding on an item and after you win the item and pay for it. The seller will send it to you and in the time your item is in transit you will have re-listed that item on eBay and have it sold. When this process is complete you will end up with around $100+ in profit.

One of the keys to success is to understand the market value of the products you plan on buying and selling. I focus on products that are selling for at least $250 or more during their peak times. I try to stay away from replicas of a product and only deal with genuine items (what I am saying is that I don't buy iPod knockoffs rather I buy the ones manufactured from Apple, Inc.).

I do my homework primarily using eBay's advance search options. There are two options that I use the most in the advanced search form that being the "Show completed listings only" and "Listings ending." On any Tuesday or Wednesday weekday, I check the option to only show completed listing only then set the time range to 12:00 am PST and 5:00 am PST. This is generally the time in which most US bidders are asleep therefore less bidding on the item as the auction nears closing. I use this information to find out what would mostly be the best price that I could buy an item at in off peak times.

You can also click on "Change to a Date Range" in the advanced search form then you can choose unspecified which will get back 15 days of data sorted by end date. With this method you can change the sort order to "Price + Shipping: lowest first" which will show you the lowest purchase price in the past 15 days at the top of the list. One last setting that I use and that is specifying a minimum number of bids to 1 so you only find listings that were sold.

Next, I will repeat the process described above with an Advanced Search on the product targeting a peak time for bidding such as Friday evenings or return all 15 days of data with the sort order set to "Price + Shipping: highest first" . This information will help me understand what is the most I could expect to get for a given product. Now I am looking for items that have at least a difference of $100 between their peak and off peak selling prices.

Now here is the biggest success factor. Find a Popular Item, one that has a high bid count and / or watch count. How I do this is use ebays-mostwanted dot com (www.ebays-mostwanted.com). This is a website that I found some time ago that has really boosted my money making on eBay. One this site you can chose any eBay category or provide a search term and the site will show you the 100 most popular items currently on eBay matching your criteria. The site will show the number of eBay buyers that have the item on their watch list and the current number of bids - all this information is in real time!

Too many eBay sellers focus on electronics like iPods since we all know those items are popular and know their market value but I found better success with items like Event Tickets and collectable items like gold coins. I have made $1000's on these categories. I am not guaranteeing that anyone will make $1000's but I can assure you that it is very possible if someone like me can do it! Good luck.
